David Brinker a resident of St. Louis, MO wins the 2012 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship in the Legends Division (age 60 +) with a drive of 330 yards. This is David’s first win in his 9-year association with the premiere event in power golf.

Swedish long-drive competitor Sandra Carlborg earned her second straight RE/MAX World Long Drive Title with a record-setting 339 yards blast at the 2012 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship powered By Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Joining Brinker and Carlborg on the podium at the Mesquite, Nevada Sports and Event Complex were Eric Jones in the Super Seniors Division (50+) and Jack Crutchfield in the Grand Champions Division (55+). Crutchfield, who lives in Brewton, Alabama, drive it 354 yards to claim his first title as well.

Competition at the 2012 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championships was held in Mesquite, Nevada starting on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 and concluding on Thursday October 25, 2012, when ESPN 3 broadcast the finals of the Open Division and Senior Division.  Ryan Winther and Eric Lastowka reached the pinnacle of power golf by winning their respective divisions on Thursday, October 25th.

David has competed in the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championships for the past 9 years.  His accomplishments include:

1st place in the 2004 Texas Regional Qualifier – Senior Division

3rd place in the 2005 Michigan Regional Qualifier – Senior Division

1st place in the 2006 Florida Regional Qualifier – Super Senior Division

2nd place in the 2007 Michigan Regional Qualifier – Super Senior Division

1st place in the 2008 Missouri Regional Qualifier – Super Senior Division, and 1st place in the 2008 Illinois Regional Qualifier – Senior Division

Champion in the 2008 Decatur, IL Heartland Classic – Senior Division
